So this past weekend was busy but good.
Friday night I went to see The Lion King with laney and Katie…it was in 3D! I’m pretty sure we were the only ones there that were not with children…and we sang along to every song…I mean…why wouldn’t we?
Saturday was serving with the homeless ministry 45 & Hope. Saturday night was spent dancing the night away at Big Texas. I got to wear my cowgirl boots my parents got me for the first time! I truly felt like I dressed in costume…but I fit right in…however I was not cool enough to have a blinged out belt that apparently everyone else got a memo about being “in”. I think I may make my own…hit up hobby lobby…get some sparkled jewels of all colors…and pay a total of like 5 bucks for it…when all these other folks are paying like a hundred bucks for theirs…yep…i’m doin it…and done.
Sunday I had church stuff, then every Sunday night the “singles” in my church play sand vball. Oh church categories—- they crack me up sometimes…why do we have to be lumped and titled? I mean …I understand why..its a life stage thing….its just funny sometimes. “Couples with toddlers”, “Empty Nesters”, ” Seriously dating couples”, ” 65+”…..idk its just funny and I think it would make life awesome if everyone had to wear a name tag all the time with the category they are in…just so no one gets confused.
Monday I did not go to work, I was sick. But it ended up being a much needed relaxing day. I think I have been burning the candle at both ends for a while and I needed to just do nothing.
